PLEASE HELP With this Family situation?
(23 August 2016)
Star:
I am in one of those families on my mother's side where everyone is supposed to take a side.

Star:
Aunt has refused to participate in family activities in past 3 or 4 years and told son last week it was because of him (they had argument over a facebook post). So am I wise to just stay neutral and be nice to all involved?

Star:
Extended family is all involved with my mother and the uncle livid that aunt has somewhat abandoned her son.
(23 August 2016)
Star:
The aunt is insisting on an apology for the high school years I believe.

Star:
As a result son says little about her.

Star:
He is now fully employed, works hard, and no longer has any attitude except still feels hurt by his mother's rejection coming in the wake of the bio Dad's abandonment when he was 4. Long story short mother (my aunt) is still very bitter towards him.

Star:
So the extended family has reached out including the grandfather and step-grandmother housing him for a time.

Star:
In the years since the son has felt rejected by the mother the way he was by his bio-father.
